Ab auf die Strasse!

Noch knapp 2 Wochen dauert es bis zum Wahlsonntag. 

Ich werde zusammen mit meinen Mitkandidierenden in den kommenden Wochen an vielen Standaktionen im ganzen Kanton anzutreffen sein. Was macht den Menschen in diesem Kanton Sorgen? Welche Erwartungen haben sie an mich? Weshalb gehen sie wählen – oder weshalb gerade nicht? 

Natürlich lernen die Leute auch mich kennen. Sie sollen ja nicht nur wissen, welche Ansichten und Positionen ich habe. Es geht auch darum, wer ich bin. Weshalb ist mir die Umwelt ein grosses Anliegen? Wie kam ich überhaupt zur SP? Was hat meine Ausbildung mit meiner Politik zu tun? Was habe ich bisher erreicht? Was mache ich, wenn ich nicht politisch tätig bin? Wer sind meine politischen Vorbilder?

Das vergangene Wochenende durfte ich mich in Liestal und Oberdorf wiederum den Wähler/innen präsentieren. Zusammen mit Sandra Strüby war ich wieder mit unserem Bauchladen unterwegs, spontan gesellte sich Eric Nussbaumer in Liestal dazu und rüstete uns mit Schöggeli aus.

Zurück in meiner Heimat Laufen durfte ich mich unter die Gäste des OL-Weltcups mischen. Die Stimmung auf dem Amthausplatz war überwältigend, faszinierend die Athlet/innen, die mich zahlreiche Ecken und Durchgänge des Stedtlis aus einem neuen Blickwinkel erleben liessen. Was die Sportler/innen auch zeigten: wenn man nicht nur Disziplin, sondern auch Talent und ganz, ganz viel Begeisterung für etwas aufbringt, wenn man dafür so richtig brennt, dann kann man es weit bringen und erfolgreich sein.
